Popular folk/pop duo the McCluskey Brothers (formerly of the Bluebells) perform a selection of hits and even try their hand at a couple of Gaelic numbers (with Lorraine Wilson).

Fon tiotal "Urstan" (facal Gàidhlig co-cheangailte ri fliuchadh ceann leanaibh) tha an albam seo air a bheil 12 pìos ciùil, a' nochdadh pìosan ùra taobh ri taobh le rianachadh nua-aimsireil air òrain traidiseanta Ghàidhlig is Albannach. Cuirear air bhog e aig an ath fheasgar de Cheòl 's Craic, an tachartas ealain Ghàidhlig as ainmeile ann an Glaschu - a cho-riochdaich an albam agus a thug cuireadh do Alasdair sa chiad àite - mar neach gun Ghàidhlig - gus obrachadh còmhla ris an t-seinneadair Ghàidhlig dùthchasach, Màiri Mhoireasdan.

Cuideachd air a' phrògram air 25 Gearran, bidh a' chàraid ciùil dùthcha, na Bràithrean McCluskey. Nam buill stèidheachaidh de Na Bluebells, an còmhlan giotàir soirbheachail Albannach bho na h-ochdadan, bidh na bràithrean a' cur an tionndadh fhèin de cheòl faramach dùthchasach ri prògram dripeil an fheasgair agus dh'fhaodadh gum feuch iad air òran Gàidhlig no dhà cuideachd.

Ceòl 's Craic will host the new albumn launch for Alasdair Roberts and Màiri Morrison!

Entitled "Urstan" (a Gaelic word which refers to a baby's head-wetting) the 12 track album features original compositions alongside modern arrangements of traditional Gaelic and Scottish songs. It will be launched at the latest edition of Glasgow's most popular monthly Gaelic arts evening - Ceòl 's Craic, who co-produced the album and first invited Alasdair - a non- Gaelic speaker - to work with established native Gaelic singer Màiri Morrison.

Also on the bill for February 25th are folk duo The McCluskey Brothers. Both founding members of the chart-topping Scottish eighties guitar band The Bluebells, the brothers will be bringing their brand of jangly folk music to the busy evening programme and may will be accompanied by Lorraine Wilson on a Gaelic song or two.

Proceedings get underway early, with film screenings kicking off at 2.15pm. Film tickets can be purchased through Glasgow Film Festival and Ceol 's Craic tickets from the CCA Box Office.
